Reading About Math?

Did you know that there are books that your children can read, or that you can read to them, that are based on math? What a fun way to explore different math concepts. These are informational texts, but written in such a way to engage students and make learning fun. Why not pick up a couple of these at your local library?

Read Across America

Read Across America is an event sponsored by the National Education Association (NEA) to honor the birthday of the late Dr. Seuss. This year it happens to fall on March 3rd, which is Pulaski Day, so there will be no school. This would be a good day to celebrate with a little extra time for reading.
